Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Minimum, Diploma of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Science) or equivalent.
Post graduate work experience preferred
Accreditation with the ANZSNM
Licensed with the EPA.

Position, Availability and Location.

This position is for an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

The ideal candidate would be available to work one day each week if required and be available for leave relief of up to two to three days/week (if required). The person may be required to work at our Bankstown, Kogarah or Illawarra Nuclear Imaging practices. Locum work may become available at Shoalhaven Nuclear Imaging in Nowra if desired.

Supporting Comments

The practice at Bankstown has three Siemens Gamma Cameras linked via a MicroVax computer to an ICON (AP- Quadra) Acquisition and Processing station. 

The practice at Wollongong has three Gamma Cameras attached via NUMA and ICON IIfx acquisition terminal to an ICON G4 processing workstation. 

Kogarah have one Siemen's Diacam Gamma Camera with a Siemens ICON AP used for both acquisition and processing.

Our Shoalhaven practice has three Siemens Gamma cameras attached via NUMA acquisition stations and an ICON A to an ICON G3 processing workstation.

Essential:

A degree or Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Accreditation (or eligibility) with the ANZSNM.

EPA Licence.

Desirable:

Postgraduate experience in a private practice would be desirable but certainly not compulsory. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who can work independently. They will also need to have well developed scheduling and organisational skills. They should enjoy the challenge of teaching and supervising students. This position would suit a person who only wishes to work a limited number of days in Nuclear Medicine and is available (sometimes at short notice) to relieve for various forms of leave.

Salary Package:

A rate of pay and work hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
