A registered Nurse (an appropriately trained Enrolled Nurse may be considered) is being sought to conduct cardiac stress tests and other associated nursing duties at Shoalhaven Nuclear Imaging which is situated in the Nowra CBD.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

·         Registered Nurse. Enrolled nurses with the necessary experience may be considered.

·         Cardiac Stress testing and IV Cannulation experience is desirable.

Position, Availability and Location.

This position is permanent part-time over four days each week, commencing in late January early February 2008. Job sharing or a five day week could be arranged if desired. The successful candidate will be based at Nowra in the Standish Medical Centre building. Nowra is situated approximately two hours drive south of Sydney .

The Shoalhaven area is known widely for its beautiful coastal geography. From the crystal clear waters and white sands of Jervis Bay , the Shoalhaven River itself, through to the lush farmlands around Berry and Gerringong, the Shoalhaven provides access to an enormous array of outdoor recreational activities. Nowra is just 15 minutes drive from Shoalhaven Heads and approximately 20 minutes drive to the ocean beaches at Culburra and Currarong. Just 15-20 minutes drive to the south is the Jervis Bay Marine National Park .

Essential:

Registered Nurse.

Desirable:

Experience in nuclear medicine or diagnostic imaging is desirable but certainly not compulsory. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and energetic person who can work independently.

The position will involve Cardiac stress testing under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. Experience in Cardiac nursing and/or Cardiac stress testing would be desirable.

Ability to perform IV cannulation or willingness to learn would be an advantage.
